Property Details
Elk Hunting Retreat. Six hundred and forty acres of some of Utah’s most productive Deer and Elk hunting property “unrecorded”. The current owner/hunter has constructed and cleverly placed 6 blind stands about the property in order to optimize success. A remote bunk house has been built for those untimely adventures when base camp is just a little to far to hike.
There are remnants of an old homestead site at the primary entrance to the property bringing out the treasure hunter in all of us. The presence of stone foundations, walkways and garden perimeters (left somewhat to the imagination) as well as some crudely constructed support buildings create a sense of wonder from many years past.
A basic yet very functional RV pad and general camping area has been designated in the midst of the homestead creating a secluded gathering area for hunters and adventurers of all ages. The section had been partially cleared for grazing in years past leaving approximately 75% of the acreage wooded of pinion pine, scrub oak and other native vegetation.
Located on the outer limits of the Western Slope of the Colorado Rocky Mountains the property is only a few miles from the border of Utah and Colorado to the East and a few miles of Utah’s famous Red Rock Country.
The current owner/hunter will consider owner financing as well as creating 2 or 4 smaller parcels for the discriminating hunter. Call Penelope at 435-260-1245 or Roger at 435-901-2292 for more information.
